Spectators: 160 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rafael Gobeleyns started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Balaceanu UFC booed when SK Gullegem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sylvain Pauwels didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Spiru in the 10th minute of play forced SK Gullegem's goalkeeper Jo van der Eycken to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jo van der Eycken showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Spiru in the 15th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anton Ţăranu got free with Jo van der Eycken in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 22nd minute Eric Spiru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jo van der Eycken saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rafael Gobeleyns blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mihăiţă Frânculescu having to make a save. After some careless play in the Balaceanu UFC defense, Rafael Gobeleyns kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mihăiţă Frânculescu. The Balaceanu UFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mihăiţă Frânculescu should have stopped the shot. Christopher Frans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Mihăiţă Frânculescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Sylvain Pauwels notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Balaceanu UFC's Mihăiţă Frânculescu. Mihăiţă Frânculescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Gobeleyns in the 44th minute of play forced Balaceanu UFC's goalkeeper Mihăiţă Frânculescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jo van der Eycken made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Anton Ţăranu sent off a good shot on target. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

After 66 played minutes SK Gullegem got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Gobeleyns. After a defensive mix-up in Balaceanu UFC's zone, Christopher Frans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mihăiţă Frânculescu came out of the goal and Christopher Frans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 70 played minutes, Balaceanu UFC's Manuel Pășcuțoiu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jo van der Eycken came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Balaceanu UFC reached it. Rafael Gobeleyns might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mihăiţă Frânculescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rafael Gobeleyns ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to SK Gullegem getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Christopher Frans hit a great ball. Jo van der Eycken took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anton Ţăranu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Sylvain Pauwels managed to get in a good position for a shot. SK Gullegem's supporters rose to their feet, but Sylvain Pauwels was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mihăiţă Frânculescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Balaceanu UFC's zone, Christopher Frans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mihăiţă Frânculescu came out of the goal and Christopher Frans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
