Lino Dunixi came out of the goal and Eliseu Toscano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedro Luiz Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 15 minutes into the match, Nippur de Lagash 2's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas de Almeida came free, but Lino Dunixi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Luiz Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Lino Dunixi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eliseu Toscano got free with Lino Dunixi in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 23rd minute, Eliseu Toscano reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lino Dunixi. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 25th minute, Pedro Luiz Brito fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Pedro Luiz Brito might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lino Dunixi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pedro Luiz Brito ran back to his position shaking his head. Adhemar Vergílio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Generoso Estevez in the 27th minute of the match. Nippur de Lagash 2's Lino Dunixi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oséas Luz in the 31st minute of play. With an all-out effort, Capibaribe Stars's Lino Dunixi threw himself towards the right post 39 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Oséas Luz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Adhemar Vergílio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrian Indartsu, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. A collision led to Nippur de Lagash 2 getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Fermin Pierres hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adrian Indartsu to make the kick off. After 52 minutes of play, Capibaribe Stars's Pedro Luiz Brito made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lino Dunixi was left in no man's land by his defense there! 55 minutes into the match, Nippur de Lagash 2's goal looked a bit too open when Oséas Luz came free, but Lino Dunixi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adhemar Vergílio made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Generoso Estevez sent off a good shot on target. After 62 played minutes Capibaribe Stars got a freekick which was hit by Glauco Catarinense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salvador Ralondo in the 64th minute of play forced Capibaribe Stars's goalkeeper Adhemar Vergílio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 71 played minutes Capibaribe Stars got a freekick which was hit by Luís Antunes. Generoso Estevez hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Glauco Catarinense took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 73rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lino Dunixi. Nippur de Lagash 2's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eliseu Toscano in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lino Dunixi saved Nippur de Lagash 2 from getting behind. 77 minutes into the match, Capibaribe Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Indartsu came free, but Adhemar Vergílio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luís Antunes during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Nippur de Lagash 2 booed when Capibaribe Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 79 minutes into the game, Nippur de Lagash 2's Godofredo Austin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adhemar Vergílio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. In the 86th minute of the match Capibaribe Stars got a corner. Nippur de Lagash 2's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nico Penha ran over to the corner to take the kick. Capibaribe Stars's Eliseu Toscano got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 94 minutes into the match, Nippur de Lagash 2's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseu Toscano came free, but Lino Dunixi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Capibaribe Stars were victorious despite being under pressure from Nippur de Lagash 2 for much of the match.
