The referee ignored Juventus Football Club's protests and gave Lucky Bremer a yellow card for diving instead. After 3 played minutes Juventus Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Lucky Bremer. After 9 played minutes MZ Fénix got a freekick which was hit by Fabiano Camacho. MZ Fénix's Martinho Nunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugeniusz Bugno in the 10th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Salvador Balsemão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Martinho Nunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kryspin Skirzynski in the 13th minute of the match. After 13 minutes, Horácio Vasconcelos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MZ Fénix and the Juventus Football Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. Aldaír Veiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Kryspin Skirzynski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Martinho Nunes was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Aldaír Veiga kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in MZ Fénix's zone, Grzegorz Praski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martinho Nunes came out of the goal and Grzegorz Praski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Fabiano Camacho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 74 minutes into the match, MZ Fénix's Fabiano Camacho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kamil Grabara narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 74 minutes into the game, Fabiano Camacho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Kamil Grabara was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
