The referee ignored FCPorto's protests and gave Basílio Bentes a yellow card for diving instead. Basílio Bentes kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. A collision led to FCPorto getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Sálvio Poças hit a great ball. With his leg Filipe Padilha managed to avoid a goal in the 15thth minute, when Tequila Sunrise's Roch Zbikowski fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Marcin Konieczny came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Tequila Sunrise fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcin Konieczny couldn't finish the play. After 17 minutes, Roch Zbikowski made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. FCPorto's Filipe Padilha tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roch Zbikowski in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filipe Padilha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, FCPorto's Filipe Padilha got control of the ball when Leon Merski tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, FCPorto's Sálvio Poças got a free kick in the 30th minute. FCPorto's Filipe Padilha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save FCPorto from getting a goal against them. FCPorto's Filipe Padilha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcin Konieczny in the 43rd minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paulo Liberato stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Filipe Padilha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roch Zbikowski in the 55th minute of the match. Damião Lisboa hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Norbert Olejasz didn't quite understand what happened when in the 58 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Filipe Padilha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leon Merski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roch Zbikowski in the 97th minute of play forced FCPorto's goalkeeper Filipe Padilha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that Tequila Sunrise were the better team. Tequila Sunrise's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
