The Growlithe FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Delmar Orlondon should have stopped the shot. 7 minutes into the match, Potrerillo Azuleño's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Frechoso came free, but Silvestre Toli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raul Uhin scored 1-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Silvestre Toli, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Silvestre Toli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Ayala in the 13th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Omar Frechoso put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Silvestre Toli. After 20 minutes, Isaias Lop mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Potrerillo Azuleño and the Growlithe FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Growlithe FC booed when Potrerillo Azuleño was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaias Lop didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute of the match Melchor Izotz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Silvestre Toli showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 25 minutes into the game, Leandro Osmundo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Potrerillo Azuleño's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Growlithe FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Potrerillo Azuleño's Leandro Osmundo got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 27th minute Elias Etxahun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delmar Orlondon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Potrerillo Azuleño's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Boniel came free, but Silvestre Toli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th match minute, Potrerillo Azuleño was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leandro Osmundo to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Elias Etxahun made the kick off in the second half. Isaias Lop hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Silvestre Toli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raul Uhin in the 54th minute of the match. Maximo Piarres's late challenge caught a Growlithe FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maximo Piarres helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Potrerillo Azuleño getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Maximo Piarres hit a great ball. Silvestre Toli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Candido Tibalt in the 59th minute of play. Silvestre Toli didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Omar Frechoso went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. 69 minutes into the match, Potrerillo Azuleño's goalkeeper Silvestre Toli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Omar Frechoso. The audience thought a goal was coming when Omar Frechoso got free with Silvestre Toli in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Potrerillo Azuleño's Silvestre Toli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Potrerillo Azuleño from getting a goal against them. Growlithe FC's Humberto Boniel got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 89th minute, Raul Uhin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Omar Frechoso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Silvestre Toli made a huge save. In the 96th minute, Potrerillo Azuleño's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Raul Uhin fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Growlithe FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
