The Pontiac Bandit's Everardo Bortzaioriz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saul Beltza in the 7th minute of play. Cecilio Garci was out of position in the 10 minute of play, and Alfonso Caradaro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alfonso Caradaro really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. A collision led to The Pontiac Bandit getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Federico Berdoi hit a great ball. Marco Umbruso might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Everardo Bortzaioriz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marco Umbruso ran back to his position shaking his head. Cecilio Garci was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alfonso Caradaro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 18 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cosme Guilabertus got free with Cecilio Garci in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Everardo Bortzaioriz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Saul Beltza went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. 32 minutes into the game, Leon Platense's Saul Beltza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Everardo Bortzaioriz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. The supporters of Leon Platense booed when The Pontiac Bandit was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lino Senin didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Saul Beltza during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Everardo Bortzaioriz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saul Beltza in the 44th minute of play. After having played for 46 minutes, Lino Senin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Pontiac Bandit's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lino Senin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cosme Guilabertus to make the kick off. Cecilio Garci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fidel Bazil in the 51st minute of play. Leon Platense's Cecilio Garci played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fidel Bazil in the 59th minute of play. After 60 minutes of play, Leon Platense's Saul Beltza made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Everardo Bortzaioriz was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match clock showed 63 minutes, the score became 4-3 when Fidel Bazil sped through Leon Platense's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cecilio Garci. In the 69th minute Fidel Bazil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cecilio Garci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adrian Quin hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Federico Berdoi kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Cecilio Garci showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fidel Bazil in the 73rd minute of the match. The supporters of The Pontiac Bandit booed when Leon Platense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejandro Ralondo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lino Senin kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Leon Platense's Cecilio Garci played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cosme Guilabertus in the 81st minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, Alfonso Caradaro notched a goal, 5-3, to the right of Leon Platense's Cecilio Garci. Cecilio Garci was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Siro Damario came free with the goalkeeper in the 92nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Everardo Bortzaioriz could save by the left post. In the 95th match minute, The Pontiac Bandit was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Federico Berdoi to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th match minute Saul Beltza ran free in the middle of the field and shot a long shot which scored behind a totally surprised Everardo Bortzaioriz. 5-4. Leon Platense's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
