Vae Victis!!'s Zézinho Paraense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Corrêa in the 3rd minute of play. Fernandinho França in the 4thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Zézinho Paraense, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Dedê Toscano hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. When Jano Zanette fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vae Victis!!'s protests and gave Jano Zanette a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Vae Victis!! getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Jano Zanette hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedrinho Azevedo in the 19th minute of play forced Atlético Capixaba's goalkeeper Marcelo Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelo Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedrinho Azevedo in the 20th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Atlético Capixaba's Dieguinho Barros slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zézinho Paraense. That made the score 1-1 after 32 minutes of play. 34 minutes into the match, Atlético Capixaba's Gerson Leal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zézinho Paraense narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Dieguinho Barros came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Atlético Capixaba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dieguinho Barros couldn't finish the play. 40 minutes into the game, Dieguinho Barros recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Zézinho Paraense. Dieguinho Barros showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernandinho França got free with Zézinho Paraense in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Fernandinho França came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Atlético Capixaba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernandinho França couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Amauri Hermes to strike the kick off in the second half. When Leopoldo de Amorim fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlético Capixaba's protests and gave Leopoldo de Amorim a yellow card for diving instead. Leopoldo de Amorim kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Marcelo Brito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jano Zanette, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pedrinho Azevedo during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Vae Victis!!'s Pedrinho Azevedo got a free kick in the 55th minute. Jano Zanette hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 61st minute, Ciro Corrêa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pedrinho Azevedo hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Fernandinho França took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zézinho Paraense. Zézinho Paraense dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Pedrinho Azevedo hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Zézinho Paraense didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ciro Corrêa went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. 81 minutes into the game, Amauri Hermes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marcelo Brito. Amauri Hermes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-2. The supporters of Atlético Capixaba booed when Vae Victis!! was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amauri Hermes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vae Victis!!'s Zézinho Paraense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernandinho França in the 88th minute of play. João Pereira's late challenge caught a Vae Victis!!'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. João Pereira helped the player get up and apologised. João Pereira hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Atlético Capixaba fully deserved thier win.
