Manfred Ugalde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 16 minutes, Manfred Ugalde mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CS La Libertad and the OSASCO FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 24 played minutes CS La Libertad got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Cordero. In the 26th match minute, OSASCO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hamílton Sanches to maneuver through the defense. If Manfred Ugalde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. OSASCO FC's Luciano de Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reiner Luna in the 31st minute of play. In the 46th minute Manfred Ugalde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luciano de Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half CS La Libertad were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for João Pedro de Sena to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, OSASCO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jonny Villafranca came free, but Luciano de Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 59 minutes, Hamílton Sanches mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the OSASCO FC and the CS La Libertad players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 59th minute, Hamílton Sanches hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wilmer Murillo struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Luciano de Carvalho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CS La Libertad. Jonny Villafranca took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luciano de Carvalho. Luciano de Carvalho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Alexsandro Gomes took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Uriel Herrera. Luciano de Carvalho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manfred Ugalde in the 74th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Berny Saborio got free with Luciano de Carvalho in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, OSASCO FC's Luciano de Carvalho got control of the ball when Berny Saborio tried to sneak it across the goal line. 78 minutes into the match, OSASCO FC's goalkeeper Luciano de Carvalho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonny Villafranca. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Pedro de Sena in the 80th minute of play forced CS La Libertad's goalkeeper Uriel Herrera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute, Jonny Villafranca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Herberto Sancho kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Luciano de Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonny Villafranca in the 88th minute of play. After a rather tough play, OSASCO FC's João Pedro de Sena got a free kick in the 90th minute. When Manfred Ugalde came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the CS La Libertad fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manfred Ugalde couldn't finish the play.
