The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 21st minute of the game. One of S.C.PAULISTA:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Begu Ganjang:s goal. Cristóvão Barbosa had in the 22ndth minute some difficulties stopping Yoyo Yom's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After some careless play in the S.C.PAULISTA defense, Gatot Abissay kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristóvão Barbosa. The S.C.PAULISTA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristóvão Barbosa should have stopped the shot. Cristóvão Barbosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgiawan Soeprapto in the 31st minute of play. Sebastian Masengi hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. When Begu Ganjang's Dodi Hermansyah in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. 52 minutes into the match, S.C.PAULISTA's goal looked a bit too open when Virgiawan Soeprapto came free, but Cristóvão Barbosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. S.C.PAULISTA's Cristóvão Barbosa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save S.C.PAULISTA from getting a goal against them. If Dodi Hermansyah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Eduard Suryadinata's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristóvão Barbosa was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. Dodi Hermansyah could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Cristóvão Barbosa made a huge save. Gatot Abissay struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gatot Abissay in the 93rd minute of play forced S.C.PAULISTA's goalkeeper Cristóvão Barbosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Begu Ganjang were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing S.C.PAULISTA to leave the ground with a draw.
