The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marcelinho Koehler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Filip Mirciulescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nae Toma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Clube Audax Metropolitano's Falcão Severo got control of the ball when Dragoş Ivasiuc tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Germano Gerber in the 9th minute of play forced BVB 09's goalkeeper Filip Mirciulescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 12 minutes, Iacob Martinescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BVB 09 and the Clube Audax Metropolitano players grew even worse after the yellow card. Iacob Martinescu hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wesley Cruz in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Filip Mirciulescu saved BVB 09 from getting behind. Ulysses Recife charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ulysses Recife the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 26th match minute, Clube Audax Metropolitano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulysses Recife to maneuver through the defense. Marius Agulescu scored 1-0 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Falcão Severo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 32nd minute, Marian Morovan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 35 played minutes BVB 09 got a freekick which was hit by Iacob Martinescu. The supporters of BVB 09 booed when Clube Audax Metropolitano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matheus Torres didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute, Marian Morovan made a precise shot to the right of Falcão Severo. Clube Audax Metropolitano's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Nae Toma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Falcão Severo having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Miguel Fontes was the one to do the kick off. Dragoş Ivasiuc recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, BVB 09's Iacob Martinescu got a free kick in the 60th minute. Clube Audax Metropolitano made a substitution. Victor Mattos replaced Luís Paulo Maia. BVB 09's Filip Mirciulescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Mattos in the 66th minute of play. Clube Audax Metropolitano's Falcão Severo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nae Toma in the 72nd minute of play. In the 76th match minute, Clube Audax Metropolitano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Paulo de Lara to maneuver through the defense. Victor Mattos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filip Mirciulescu having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Clube Audax Metropolitano players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for BVB 09.
