Tomás Borges might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jose Vitin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomás Borges ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Clube Audax Metropolitano booed when A.F Cuervos Azulgranas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emiliano Remigio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Falcão Severo made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Godfredo Marcones sent off a good shot on target. Jose Vitin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Fontes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jose Vitin came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Clube Audax Metropolitano's Tomás Borges. But to his dismay, Tomás Borges quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 25th minute, Tomás Borges hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jose Vitin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Fontes in the 28th minute of the match. When Jeremias Enol fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored A.F Cuervos Azulgranas's protests and gave Jeremias Enol a yellow card for diving instead. In the 30th minute, Jeremias Enol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 31 played minutes, Clube Audax Metropolitano's Miguel Fontes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jose Vitin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Clube Audax Metropolitano reached it. Jose Vitin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Fontes in the 33rd minute of the match. Jose Vitin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Germano Gerber in the 34th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, A.F Cuervos Azulgranas's goal looked a bit too open when Germano Gerber came free, but Jose Vitin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Clube Audax Metropolitano's Luís Paulo Maia got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 43rd minute Tomás Borges shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jose Vitin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomás Borges was the one to do the kick off. Germano Gerber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jose Vitin having to interfere. The supporters of Clube Audax Metropolitano booed when A.F Cuervos Azulgranas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeremias Enol didn't get a good kick on the ball. A.F Cuervos Azulgranas's Jeremias Enol got his second yellow card of the match in the 59th minute. The referee ordered Jeremias Enol off the ground. In the 60th match minute, A.F Cuervos Azulgranas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeremias Enol to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Godfredo Marcones during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to A.F Cuervos Azulgranas getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Godfredo Marcones hit a great ball. Clube Audax Metropolitano made a substitution. Sílvio Luís Pimenta replaced Germano Gerber. After a rather tough play, A.F Cuervos Azulgranas's Godfredo Marcones got a free kick in the 65th minute. Jose Vitin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Mattos, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Miguel Fontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Jose Vitin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of A.F Cuervos Azulgranas booed when Clube Audax Metropolitano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hélio Loureiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jose Vitin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sílvio Luís Pimenta in the 75th minute. After 82 played minutes Clube Audax Metropolitano got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Luís Pimenta. If Victor Mattos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jose Vitin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Borges in the 86th minute of play. When Godfredo Marcones was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 88 minutes had been played. In the 90th minute, Miguel Fontes sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and A.F Cuervos Azulgranas's Jose Vitin didn't even have to move. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Miguel Fontes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clube Audax Metropolitano's supporters rose to their feet, but Miguel Fontes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jose Vitin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 96th minute, Tomás Borges got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match was over Clube Audax Metropolitano could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than A.F Cuervos Azulgranas throughout the match.
