Bertil Hammarbäck didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ✴ ᑭᕮᒪᑌᑕᕼᕮ ✴. Smurfarna's Bertil Hammarbäck proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Smurfarna from getting a goal against them. 18 minutes into the match, ✴ ᑭᕮᒪᑌᑕᕼᕮ ✴'s goal looked a bit too open when Henry Sandberg came free, but Candido Haitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio Eate in the 21st minute of play forced Smurfarna's goalkeeper Bertil Hammarbäck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Candido Haitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eddie Forssell in the 22nd minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, ✴ ᑭᕮᒪᑌᑕᕼᕮ ✴'s goal looked a bit too open when Bengt Hamberg came free, but Candido Haitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 30 minutes, Eddie Forssell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Smurfarna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eddie Forssell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 38th minute Hilario Baladi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bertil Hammarbäck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Smurfarna's Arvid Vallgren got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Candido Haitz came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Smurfarna's Eddie Forssell. But to his dismay, Eddie Forssell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Bengt Hamberg made the kick off in the second half. Bertil Hammarbäck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonio Eate in the 55th minute of the match. Candido Haitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eddie Forssell in the 56th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Hilario Baladi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bertil Hammarbäck was relentless in the 60th minute of the game.
