In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind The Cavern Club's goalkeeper Tomás Esiquio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquin Obano in the 46th minute of play forced The Cavern Club's goalkeeper Tomás Esiquio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fidel Ferrer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martín Palermo in the 47th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anacleto Tabby was the one to do the kick off. When Martín Palermo came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the The Cavern Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martín Palermo couldn't finish the play. If Dante Mikelar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anacleto Tabbys short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Tomás Esiquio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 80th minute, Basilio Lorien made a precise shot to the right of Fidel Ferrer. Çóndør Fútbøl Clüb's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. After a defensive mix-up in The Cavern Club's zone, Justo Luke stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomás Esiquio came out of the goal and Justo Luke tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Çóndør Fútbøl Clüb getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Mauricio Artaldo hit a great ball. After 90 minutes The Cavern Club's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dante Mikelar who took care of the corner kick. Çóndør Fútbøl Clüb's Fidel Ferrer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martín Palermo in the 92nd minute of play. Fidel Ferrer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mauro Luix's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. Mauro Luix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
