Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Iván Imaz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lucjan Oborski. Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Iván Imaz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Belmiro Traverso charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Belmiro Traverso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 16 played minutes Inter de Chillán got a freekick which was hit by Belmiro Traverso. In the 24th minute, Iván Imaz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lucjan Oborski was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Barnaba Banas kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Lucjan Oborski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iván Imaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zbyszek Olejarz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

After 62 played minutes Inter de Chillán got a freekick which was hit by Zenaido Cáceres. Basilio Dragicevic made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zbyszek Olejarz in the 65th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zbyszek Olejarz in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Basilio Dragicevic prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's Lucjan Oborski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Zagłębie Dąbrowskie from getting a goal against them. 75 minutes into the game, Bairon Bernales recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lucjan Oborski. Bairon Bernales showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. In the 79th minute Ian Gillan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucjan Oborski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Basilio Dragicevic showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zbyszek Olejarz, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. After 88 minutes of play, Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's Juliusz Marek made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Basilio Dragicevic was left in no man's land by his defense there! Iván Imaz scored 1-5 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lucjan Oborski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Zbyszek Olejarz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basilio Dragicevic having to interfere. Inter de Chillán's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
