Egidijus Grabauskas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihail Onaca having to interfere. Mihail Onaca made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Stanislovas Milčius sent off a good shot on target. Mihail Onaca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stanislovas Milčius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute, Petras Motiekaitis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st minute Egidijus Grabauskas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihail Onaca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Karamba fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 25th minute. Penalty! Zigmas Mikutavičius went to the wrong direction when Tiberiu Ştati was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. The supporters of F.C CLUJ MEDICINA booed when FC Karamba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egidijus Grabauskas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mihail Onaca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saulius Vaineikis in the 31st minute of play. Stanislovas Milčius's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 32ndth minute, Mihail Onaca skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Zigmas Mikutavičius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grigore Mavrodin in the 35th minute of play. 37 minutes into the game, Stanislovas Milčius cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Mihail Onaca was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Augustinas Damazeckas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stanislovas Milčius in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mihail Onaca saved F.C CLUJ MEDICINA from getting behind. Mihail Onaca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Augustinas Damazeckas in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Grigore Mavrodin made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, FC Karamba's Augustinas Damazeckas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mihail Onaca narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stanislovas Milčius in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mihail Onaca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 54 minutes F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Saulius Vaineikis who took care of the corner kick. The supporters of FC Karamba booed when F.C CLUJ MEDICINA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Costică Darabonț didn't get a good kick on the ball. Saulius Vaineikis was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 55th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Egidijus Grabauskas in the 57th minute of play forced F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's goalkeeper Mihail Onaca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mihail Onaca stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stanislovas Milčius's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. A collision led to FC Karamba getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Stanislovas Milčius hit a great ball. Grigore Mavrodin had several of the FC Karamba's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 75 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-1 score and a disappointed Zigmas Mikutavičius as he didn't even see the shot coming. When Ramūnas Balčiūnas fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Karamba's protests and gave Ramūnas Balčiūnas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 82nd minute, Ramūnas Balčiūnas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Costică Darabonț kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Karamba fans cheered their team off the field, for while F.C CLUJ MEDICINA had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
