General Velásquez's supporters rose to their feet, but Pere Sáenz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Irakliy Khokhlov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 6th match minute, General Velásquez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sarracino Owen to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Днепр ФК's Klim Belyavskiy got a free kick in the 9th minute. After 15 played minutes General Velásquez got a freekick which was hit by Sarracino Owen. A collision led to Днепр ФК getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Vladimir Blokhin hit a great ball. Gabriel Sologuren was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Leonid Eremin showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 19 minute of play. In the 28th minute Pere Sáenz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Irakliy Khokhlov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leonid Eremin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sarracino Owen kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. General Velásquez's Miquel Jaña was substituted for Alarico Laso de la Vega. The audience thought a goal was coming when Horacio Unzaga got free with Irakliy Khokhlov in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Днепр ФК's Vladimir Blokhin got a free kick in the 76th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 79 minutes, Irakliy Khokhlov successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. General Velásquez's Gabriel Sologuren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rudolf Kotlyarevskiy in the 81st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Днепр ФК's Georgiy Chibisov got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Delfino Mac Rostie kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The Днепр ФК supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching General Velásquez's performance. The match ended with a win for General Velásquez.
