Emanuel Cioroianu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 6th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Natã Cavalcante. Defensores de Savóia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Defensores de Savóia getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. José Carlos Fernandez hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Emanuel Cioroianu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Natã Cavalcante was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Anton Savin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arthur Pena in the 15th minute of the match. In the 16th minute Frank Miner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natã Cavalcante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Defensores de Savóia's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Cioroianu came free, but Natã Cavalcante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tarcisio Botelho hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Frank Miner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natã Cavalcante having to interfere. Natã Cavalcante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Miner in the 37th minute of play. Gerson Azevedo hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dorin Costandin in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Natã Cavalcante saved Defensores de Savóia from getting behind. Emanuel Cioroianu scored 0-1 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Natã Cavalcante, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Ulisses Ferraz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Defensores de Savóia's supporters rose to their feet, but Ulisses Ferraz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anton Savin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The wind increased when Emanuel Cioroianu made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Defensores de Savóia getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Walmyr Ferreira hit a great ball. In the 59th match minute, Minerul Baita -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vasile Tilincă to maneuver through the defense. Defensores de Savóia's Natã Cavalcante proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Defensores de Savóia from getting a goal against them. When Minerul Baita -MM-'s Ionuț Baran in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Frank Miner showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Merișor got free with Natã Cavalcante in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 91st minute, Daniel Merișor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Walmyr Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 94 minutes, Arthur Pena mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Defensores de Savóia and the Minerul Baita -MM- players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Defensores de Savóia's Arthur Pena got a free kick in the 94th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Minerul Baita -MM- had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
