The referee ignored Orxata I Fartons's protests and gave Kerry Kaberg a yellow card for diving instead. Kerry Kaberg hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute of the match Gilberto Oxarra shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Anaia Litago showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Anaia Litago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudio Gagriel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leandro Formerio in the 18th minute of play forced Orxata I Fartons's goalkeeper Anaia Litago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enrique Carreira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Ciriaco Gaueko made a huge save. The supporters of Orxata I Fartons booed when Estudiantes de La Plata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaspar Endura didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ciriaco Gaueko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrique Carreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ciriaco Gaueko didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Enrique Carreira went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Tonete Quintanilla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Ciriaco Gaueko made a huge save. Anaia Litago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Gagriel in the 41st minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Kerry Kaberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anaia Litago showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leandro Formerio, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. When Kerry Kaberg was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 43 minutes had been played. A collision led to Orxata I Fartons getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Kerry Kaberg hit a great ball. In the 47th minute of the match Estudiantes de La Plata got a corner. Orxata I Fartons's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gilberto Oxarra ran over to the corner to take the kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 52nd minute, Leandro Formerio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Estudiantes de La Plata fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 60 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de La Plata's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Carreira came free, but Ciriaco Gaueko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 64 played minutes Orxata I Fartons got a freekick which was hit by Bingen Palomares. 65 minutes into the match, Orxata I Fartons's goalkeeper Anaia Litago had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leandro Formerio. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Carreira in the 71st minute of play forced Estudiantes de La Plata's goalkeeper Ciriaco Gaueko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonardo Eguzki charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonardo Eguzki the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Estudiantes de La Plata fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 78th minute. Penalty! Tonete Quintanilla shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Anaia Litago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cecilio Vimaro in the 84th minute of the match. Enrique Carreira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ciriaco Gaueko having to make a save. Bingen Palomares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Estudiantes de La Plata were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
