João Francisco Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fawzi Drioueche in the 15th minute of play. Chih Yahia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristóvão Vander hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Fawzi Drioueche struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. João Francisco Costa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Phenomenals FC. 27 minutes into the match, Fawzi Drioueche had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of João Francisco Costa. Guarei FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fawzi Drioueche was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After 31 minutes of play, Phenomenals FC's Chih Yahia made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. João Francisco Costa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Washington da Fonseca took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ahmed Al-Jazairia. Ahmed Al-Jazairia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Rômulo Bezerra made the kick off in the second half. If Rômulo Bezerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Phenomenals FC's Ahmed Al-Jazairia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristóvão Vander in the 53rd minute of play. Phenomenals FC's Abdelhamid Piaf pulled a muscle in his leg after 57 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Cristóvão Vander fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guarei FC's protests and gave Cristóvão Vander a yellow card for diving instead. In the 58th minute, Cristóvão Vander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Phenomenals FC booed when Guarei FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristóvão Vander didn't get a good kick on the ball. João Francisco Costa stood somewhat misplaced when Fouad Boutabout came free in front of goal and shot 2-3 to the left of him in the 61 minute. With a little luck, Guarei FC's João Francisco Costa got control of the ball when Fawzi Drioueche tried to sneak it across the goal line. Boughera Boutabout sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boughera Boutabout in the 70th minute of play forced Guarei FC's goalkeeper João Francisco Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ahmed Al-Jazairia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rômulo Bezerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 73 minutes into the game, Guarei FC's Cristóvão Vander nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ahmed Al-Jazairia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. Cristian Cavalcante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Ahmed Al-Jazairia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, Guarei FC's goal looked a bit too open when Boughera Boutabout came free, but João Francisco Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Phenomenals FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristóvão Vander came free, but Ahmed Al-Jazairia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Boughera Boutabout came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Phenomenals FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Boughera Boutabout couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fawzi Drioueche got free with João Francisco Costa in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
