Capivariano F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 24th minute, when Amadeu Eger scored to the left of an out of position Cristóvão Souza, making the score, 1-0. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Morro Grande E.C's goalkeeper Clóvis Motta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Morro Grande E.C booed when Capivariano F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charles Varela didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st minute, Cristian Duarte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Capivariano F.C. were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
