Călin Harnagea helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, UFC STEAUA's Călin Harnagea got a free kick in the 11th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Bernardo Solo managed to get in a good position for a shot. FCSB CUENCA's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardo Solo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Costică Petran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to FCSB CUENCA getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Troy Segarra hit a great ball. Eliodor Bărăian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 21st minute Călin Bobailă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrián Saez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, UFC STEAUA's goalkeeper Costică Petran had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernardo Solo. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by UFC STEAUA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bernardo Solo was slow to take the kick. During this time FCSB CUENCA's players had a chance to rest. FCSB CUENCA's Bernardo Solo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Costică Petran in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Toader Ipate hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. When Plauto Urbina fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FCSB CUENCA's protests and gave Plauto Urbina a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, FCSB CUENCA's Plauto Urbina got a free kick in the 28th minute. Adrián Saez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Călin Bobailă, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Bernardo Solo might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Costică Petran. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bernardo Solo ran back to his position shaking his head. FCSB CUENCA's Adrián Saez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emil Alexa in the 37th minute of play. Costică Petran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Solo in the 39th minute of play. Adrián Saez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eliodor Bărăian's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. Adrián Saez came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by UFC STEAUA's Călin Bobailă. But to his dismay, Călin Bobailă quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

After 59 minutes of play FCSB CUENCA's Plauto Urbina was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 59 played minutes FCSB CUENCA got a freekick which was hit by Plauto Urbina. FCSB CUENCA's Adrián Saez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Călin Bobailă in the 65th minute of play. Silviu Culcer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 75 minutes into the match, Eliodor Bărăian dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Adrián Saez, 2-3. Toader Ipate charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Toader Ipate the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 79 minutes into the match, FCSB CUENCA's Bernardo Solo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The audience was convinced that Eliodor Bărăian's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adrián Saez was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Călin Bobailă during the 97th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 97th match minute, UFC STEAUA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Călin Bobailă to maneuver through the defense. Troy Segarra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Costică Petran having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded UFC STEAUA left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FCSB CUENCA.
