Paulus Polspoel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 10 minutes, Esteban Arias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carabata Groove and the De Keikoppers players grew even worse after the yellow card. Esteban Arias hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Carabata Groove's Rosendo Taurino suffered a concussion after 12 minutes and had to leave the field. After 12 minutes, Tim Pellegrims mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the De Keikoppers and the Carabata Groove players grew even worse after the yellow card. Carlos Arnas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rolf Saelens. De Keikoppers's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 16 minutes De Keikoppers's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Carlos Arnas who took care of the corner kick. Carabata Groove's Carlos Arnas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rolf Saelens in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Carabata Groove's Juan Orzaize proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Carabata Groove from getting a goal against them. 18 minutes into the match, De Keikoppers's goal looked a bit too open when Esteban Arias came free, but Rolf Saelens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juan Orzaize came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by De Keikoppers's Steve De kaiser. But to his dismay, Steve De kaiser quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 29th minute, Paulus Polspoel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 31 minutes, Paulus Polspoel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the De Keikoppers and the Carabata Groove players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 31 played minutes De Keikoppers got a freekick which was hit by Paulus Polspoel. The attack was good, but when Esteban Arias in the 32nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. A collision led to De Keikoppers getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Bobby Deville hit a great ball. Carabata Groove's Lucas Oro got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Paulus Polspoel was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 42 minutes had been played. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Steve De kaiser managed to get in a good position for a shot. De Keikoppers's supporters rose to their feet, but Steve De kaiser was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juan Orzaize breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Esteban Arias was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute Steve De kaiser shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Orzaize saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the game, Victorino Jerardo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carabata Groove's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave De Keikoppers the free kick. De Keikoppers made a substitution. Sven Latomme replaced Steve De kaiser. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Sven Latomme managed to get in a good position for a shot. De Keikoppers's supporters rose to their feet, but Sven Latomme was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juan Orzaize breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in De Keikoppers's zone, Lucas Oro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolf Saelens came out of the goal and Lucas Oro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Esteban Arias got free with Rolf Saelens in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Sven Latomme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jesse Roeckeloes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
