In the 10th minute Baltasar Marquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Umberto Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th minute, Gildo Guimarães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 13th minute by Kevin Keegan got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Umberto Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baltasar Marquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Inacio F.C.'s Umberto Amaral got control of the ball when Justino Astigar tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Kevin Keegan came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the GUSESI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kevin Keegan couldn't finish the play. Kevin Keegan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Umberto Amaral made a huge save. When Sidnei Abraão came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Inacio F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sidnei Abraão couldn't finish the play. After 34 minutes of play, GUSESI's Kevin Keegan made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Umberto Amaral was left in no man's land by his defense there! Justino Astigar kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. After some careless play in the GUSESI defense, Caco Arósio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Celso Oto. The GUSESI fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Celso Oto should have stopped the shot. 45 minutes into the match, Kevin Keegan notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Inacio F.C.'s Umberto Amaral. Umberto Amaral was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nuno Godoi to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Justino Astigar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Umberto Amaral. Inacio F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Justino Astigar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Geovani Pinho hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 82nd match minute, Inacio F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reynaldo Quirino to maneuver through the defense. Jorge Neves's late challenge caught a GUSESI's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jorge Neves helped the player get up and apologised. In the 92nd minute, Jorge Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Umberto Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevin Keegan in the 95th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. GUSESI had played much better football throughout.
