Germano de Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Froilan Cutberto, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. After a defensive mix-up in LR Vanderslaike's zone, Abel Egoitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Germano de Godoi came out of the goal and Abel Egoitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 15 minutes, Manuel Monteiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LR Vanderslaike and the Arrecifes players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fernandinho Koehler made in the 19th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Manuel Monteiro however managed to control. If Abel Egoitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Fernandinho Koehler fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LR Vanderslaike's protests and gave Fernandinho Koehler a yellow card for diving instead. In the 29th minute, Fernandinho Koehler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st match minute, Arrecifes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Froilan Cutberto to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd minute, one of Arrecifes:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Arrecifes. Arrecifes:s Baldomero Vermudo showed great skill when he stopped Manuel Monteiro:s penalty. It was a brilliant solo performance by LR Vanderslaike's Manuel Monteiro when he shot the ball into the net to 1-0 in the 35th minute. Froilan Cutberto might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Germano de Godoi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Froilan Cutberto ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 38th minute Froilan Cutberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Germano de Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Abel Egoitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Germano de Godoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Froilan Cutberto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Germano de Godoi came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Arrecifes's Froilan Cutberto. But to his dismay, Froilan Cutberto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Manuel Monteiro to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Abel Egoitz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arrecifes's supporters rose to their feet, but Abel Egoitz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Germano de Godoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abel Egoitz in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Germano de Godoi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Froilan Cutberto took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Germano de Godoi to make any attempt to save it. Arrecifes's Danilo Quiroga was substituted for Abel Egoitz. LR Vanderslaike's Germano de Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Froilan Cutberto in the 65th minute of play. Arrecifes were awarded a corner in the 66th minute after LR Vanderslaike's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bernardo Abad took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Bernardo Abad got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Germano de Godoi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The crowd rose to their feet as Arrecifes's Froilan Cutberto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Germano de Godoi. That made the score 1-3 after 70 minutes of play. The Arrecifes fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when Arrecifes's Froilan Cutberto looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience thought a goal was coming when Froilan Cutberto got free with Germano de Godoi in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 92nd minute Froilan Cutberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Germano de Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baldomero Vermudo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Lopez, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The LR Vanderslaike fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Arrecifes were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
