To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Filomeno Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonsinho Munhoz in the 13th minute of the match. Anacleto Cisco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but João Pedro Rodrigues made a huge save. Arsenio Canor in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of João Pedro Rodrigues, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 27 minutes into the match, Copérnico F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Afonsinho Munhoz came free, but Filomeno Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filomeno Santos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. After 43 played minutes Joinville United - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Velasco. Anacleto Cisco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. João Pedro Rodrigues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Joinville United - FSCMZ's João Pedro Rodrigues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgardo Urbasa in the 62nd minute of play. Filomeno Santos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 94 minutes, Edgard Salomone mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Copérnico F.C. and the Joinville United - FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Edgard Salomone kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The supporters of Copérnico F.C. booed when Joinville United - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robinho Peixoto didn't get a good kick on the ball.
