Pendex's supporters crossed their fingers, but Igor Esdras was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Godofredo Nayely had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gică Ciolac took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Esdras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Igor Esdras to strike the kick off in the second half. Gică Ciolac was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Godofredo Nayely. Pendex played a much better game than Pardina and deserved their victory. The Pardina players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
