After 9 minutes of play, Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's Agustín Pipa made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Savaş Baykal was left in no man's land by his defense there! Savaş Baykal was out of position in the 13 minute of play, and Perlaza Corcoba capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Perlaza Corcoba really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. 17 minutes into the match, Perlaza Corcoba dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Savaş Baykal, 3-0. In the 20th minute, Baturhan Erozan fired away a hard free kick towards the goal. Fabio Ponce moved to his left, but didn't have to make a save as the ball went out of bounds. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Naci Tayfun during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 23 played minutes Gold Raiders FC got a freekick which was hit by Naci Tayfun. Gold Raiders FC's Baturhan Erozan got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 33 minutes into the match, Rubén Puerta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Savaş Baykal. Gold Raiders FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rubén Puerta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cevahir Oyhan was slow to take the kick. During this time Gold Raiders FC's players had a chance to rest. Gold Raiders FC's Cevahir Oyhan was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Fabio Ponce in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Fabio Ponce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baturhan Erozan, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 44th minute, Hector-Luis Cadrecha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fabio Ponce came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Gold Raiders FC's Baturhan Erozan. But to his dismay, Baturhan Erozan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Perlaza Corcoba stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Baturhan Erozan in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabio Ponce prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Rubén Puerta fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's protests and gave Rubén Puerta a yellow card for diving instead. Fabio Ponce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faruk Ceyhan in the 90th minute of play. In the 97th minute, Hector-Luis Cadrecha made a precise shot to the right of Savaş Baykal. Gold Raiders FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-1. Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
