After 12 played minutes Birmingham Railers FC got a freekick which was hit by Vítor Ferraz. Ernesto Orain kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Cipriano Alvarenga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fermin Aznar in the 19th minute of the match. Fermin Aznar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Cipriano Alvarenga made a huge save. Rodrigo Lalla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Paulo Arce in the 22nd minute of play. When Nereo Santxol fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CAI NEUQUEN's protests and gave Nereo Santxol a yellow card for diving instead. After 46 played minutes CAI NEUQUEN got a freekick which was hit by Nereo Santxol. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The supporters of Birmingham Railers FC booed when CAI NEUQUEN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nereo Santxol didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rodrigo Lalla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kauan Vinhas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 61 minutes, Serginho da Mata managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Birmingham Railers FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Serginho da Mata was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 62nd minute, Karim Adeyemi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 70 minutes into the match, Birmingham Railers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fermin Aznar came free, but Cipriano Alvarenga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd minute Fermin Aznar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Alvarenga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Fermin Aznar notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Birmingham Railers FC's Cipriano Alvarenga. Cipriano Alvarenga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cipriano Alvarenga was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee ended the match the CAI NEUQUEN players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
