After 25 played minutes, CA Boca Jrs's Carmine Orlandi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ubelteso Zalaca came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in CA Boca Jrs reached it. After 28 played minutes GALACTICOS got a freekick which was hit by Xicu Arzumendi. In the 32nd minute, one of CA Boca Jrs:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for CA Boca Jrs. Ubelteso Zalaca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dennis Tozzi in the 41st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Virila Elano during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Xicu Arzumendi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Emanuele Guaita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The supporters of GALACTICOS booed when CA Boca Jrs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciccio Mussi didn't get a good kick on the ball. 65 minutes into the game, CA Boca Jrs's Dennis Tozzi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ubelteso Zalaca made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The supporters of CA Boca Jrs booed when GALACTICOS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guamán Lebron didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ubelteso Zalaca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dennis Tozzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ubelteso Zalaca was a little too slow when Ercole Ceresoli got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 78th minute. The score was now 1-2. 83 minutes into the match, GALACTICOS's goal looked a bit too open when Ercole Ceresoli came free, but Ubelteso Zalaca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ercole Ceresoli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Ubelteso Zalaca made a huge save. When Zacarias Maceira fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GALACTICOS's protests and gave Zacarias Maceira a yellow card for diving instead. Zacarias Maceira kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match.
