Kostyantyn Ivanenko's late challenge caught a INTER's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kostyantyn Ivanenko helped the player get up and apologised. After 4 played minutes Juventus FC got a freekick which was hit by Kostyantyn Ivanenko. After 9 minutes, Igor Fedorchenko mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Juventus FC and the INTER players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 9th minute, Igor Fedorchenko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kostyantyn Ivanenko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Panagiotis Dentsas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Panagiotis Dentsas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gennadiy Oleshko in the 18th minute. After 23 minutes INTER's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Volodymyr Gudzikevych who took care of the corner kick. After 33 played minutes INTER got a freekick which was hit by Theocharis Louverdis. Gennadiy Oleshko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Volodymyr Gudzikevych kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Gennadiy Oleshko might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Panagiotis Dentsas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gennadiy Oleshko ran back to his position shaking his head. Juventus FC's Gennadiy Oleshko got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gennadiy Oleshko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Panagiotis Dentsas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Juventus FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave INTER the free kick. In the 58th minute, Theocharis Louverdis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 62 minutes, Panos Chiotis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. INTER's supporters crossed their fingers, but Panos Chiotis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 66th minute, Gennadiy Oleshko ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Panagiotis Dentsas was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. If Gennadiy Oleshko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute Gennadiy Oleshko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Panagiotis Dentsas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gennadiy Oleshko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Anthimos Pagitis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Panagiotis Dentsas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gennadiy Oleshko, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Kostyantyn Ivanenko put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Panagiotis Dentsas. There was no doubt that Juventus FC were the better team. Juventus FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
