In the 45thth minute of the game Candido Alba who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Golden Tigers's José Alberto Chilavert was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ruud van Nistelrooij to strike the kick off in the second half. Golden Tigers's José Alberto Chilavert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricart Olmos in the 53rd minute of play. Bashar Al Rifaee kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Khalaf Kakoli in the 89th minute of play forced ☠QUINTERO☠'s goalkeeper Leovigildo Zambrano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ruud van Nistelrooij struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Leovigildo Zambrano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Golden Tigers. Maitham Al Khars charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
