Academia Rio's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Geležinis Vilkas the free kick. Iurie Mutu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saulius Barsys, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. 63 minutes into the game, Saulius Barsys cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Iurie Mutu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Daugirdas Leonaitis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sever Vintilescu in the 72nd minute of play. In the 75thth minute of the game Deimantas Valys who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Academia Rio's Iurie Mutu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dinaras Kalasauskas's late challenge caught a Academia Rio's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When the match was over Academia Rio could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Geležinis Vilkas throughout the match.
