Quentin Preston really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After 10 played minutes Greenbay got a freekick which was hit by Callum Rockett. In the 11th minute of the match Jan-Åke Beckman sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alfie Nethercot skillfully saved the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Quentin Preston got free with Viktor Blomberg in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Greenbay's Brian Webb got a free kick in the 18th minute. The supporters of Greenbay booed when spikarna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mårten Odén didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mårten Odén struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Alfie Nethercot didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for spikarna. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Quentin Preston put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Viktor Blomberg. In the 37th minute, Henning Lundqvist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfie Nethercot was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The wind increased when Mårten Odén made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Konrad Lindström got free with Alfie Nethercot in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 54th minute, Konrad Lindström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jan-Erik Wållander hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute, Konrad Lindström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfie Nethercot was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Henning Lundqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Alfie Nethercot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in spikarna's zone, Callum Rockett stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Viktor Blomberg came out of the goal and Callum Rockett tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 72 played minutes spikarna got a freekick which was hit by Jan-Erik Wållander. In the 72nd minute of the match Don Huckerby shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Viktor Blomberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 76th minute Mårten Odén shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfie Nethercot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 78 minutes into the game, Konrad Lindström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. spikarna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Greenbay the free kick. Mårten Odén could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Alfie Nethercot made a huge save. Greenbay's Alfie Nethercot proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 98th minute of the match, managed to save Greenbay from getting a goal against them. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
