The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Jean-Michel Caspar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henning Hareter in the 74th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Jean-Charles Desmoulins had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alexander Strzelczyk. SSV Ulm 1846's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jean-Charles Desmoulins was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. The supporters of SSV Ulm 1846 booed when En avant de guingamp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jean-Sébastien Manin didn't get a good kick on the ball.
