After 5 played minutes La Zabaleta got a freekick which was hit by Mateo Blanco. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fermin Lucero in the 11th minute of play forced Calesso FC's goalkeeper Giovani Moura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erasmo Valle scored 1-0 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Feliberto Bittor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Giovani Moura didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zacarias Herauso went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 31st minute Zacarias Herauso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovani Moura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Hernani Rossi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

If Adhemar Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 53 played minutes Calesso FC got a freekick which was hit by Murillo Salles. Feliberto Bittor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adhemar Valle in the 61st minute of play. After a rather tough play, La Zabaleta's Zacarias Herauso got a free kick in the 64th minute. 68 minutes into the game, Calesso FC's Adhemar Valle nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Feliberto Bittor made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. In the 71st minute, Isidro Adrio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Calesso FC booed when La Zabaleta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateo Blanco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erasmo Vasconcelos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 75th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Feliberto Bittor. La Zabaleta's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Murillo Salles hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as La Zabaleta's Zacarias Herauso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Giovani Moura. That made the score 2-3 after 79 minutes of play. Adhemar Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliberto Bittor having to interfere. When Adhemar Valle came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Calesso FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adhemar Valle couldn't finish the play. If Isidro Adrio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fermin Lucero might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Giovani Moura. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fermin Lucero ran back to his position shaking his head. Chants of La Zabaleta echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Calesso FC had held the ball for most of the match.
