Leões do Sul 53's Ronaldinho de Castro quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Egídio Reis was out of position in the 10 minute of play, and Christian Monteiro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Christian Monteiro really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reginaldo Donatello in the 20th minute of play forced Leões do Sul 53's goalkeeper Egídio Reis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute, Leões do Sul 53's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Christian Monteiro fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tarcisio Baptista stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Red John S.K booed when Leões do Sul 53 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafinha Penha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leões do Sul 53's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Red John S.K the free kick. Tarcisio Baptista hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Red John S.K's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nilmar Berger in the 83rd minute. After taking down the ball on Red John S.K's corner Nilmar Berger fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Egídio Reis quite easily take care of the ball. Júnior Cosme's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Egídio Reis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Egídio Reis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Monteiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Egídio Reis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christian Monteiro's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Leões do Sul 53 players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Red John S.K.
