The referee ignored Renascer's protests and gave Raimundo Melo a yellow card for diving instead. After 6 played minutes Renascer got a freekick which was hit by Raimundo Melo. Trindade Atlético Club were awarded a corner in the 8th minute after Renascer's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cássio Paes took the corner. Ricardinho de Barros scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gilvan Sanches, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dito Brodel struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Chicão Oliveira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Renascer. Artur Ceresso kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. In the 19th minute Giovani Sergipano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilvan Sanches saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dito Brodel who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Chicão Oliveira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Renascer's Gilvan Sanches played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardinho de Barros in the 31st minute of play. Gilvan Sanches showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cássio Paes, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Chicão Oliveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Washington Guerra in the 34th minute of the match. In the 40th minute Cássio Paes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilvan Sanches saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute, Giovani Sergipano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Trindade Atlético Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cássio Paes to strike the kick off in the second half. Raimundo Melo kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Ricardinho de Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Gilvan Sanches tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 57 minutes, Dito Brodel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Renascer's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dito Brodel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 61 minutes into the game, Giovani Sergipano recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gilvan Sanches. Giovani Sergipano showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. In the 70th minute, Trindade Atlético Club's Cássio Paes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gilvan Sanches. Gilvan Sanches yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. In the 73rd minute, Cássio Paes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Trindade Atlético Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. In the 76th minute, Betinho de Sena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 80 played minutes Renascer got a freekick which was hit by Washington Guerra. After a defensive mix-up in Renascer's zone, Ricardinho de Barros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilvan Sanches came out of the goal and Ricardinho de Barros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gilvan Sanches made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Cássio Paes sent off a good shot on target. 87 minutes into the match, Renascer's goalkeeper Gilvan Sanches had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alex Santos. Yan Pereira succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-6 in the 88th playminute. After 94 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Renascer!
