After 5 minutes, Sidney Campidelis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Desportiva Paulo Afonso and the Adab FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 5 played minutes Desportiva Paulo Afonso got a freekick which was hit by Sidney Campidelis. Nouredine Mimoun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Garcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The throw-in from Fernandinho Paes in the 11th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Adab FC's Faouzi Cherrad. A collision led to Adab FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Hamid Macias hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Francisco Garcia put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Nouredine Mimoun. With his leg Nouredine Mimoun managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Desportiva Paulo Afonso's Renatinho Braga fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Adab FC's Abd al-Aziz Kader got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Fernandinho Paes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nouredine Mimoun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Garcia, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Francisco Garcia kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nouredine Mimoun. That made the score 3-0 in the 35 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fawzi Larfaoui in the 42nd minute of play forced Desportiva Paulo Afonso's goalkeeper Olavo Vasconcelos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Desportiva Paulo Afonso's Fernandinho Paes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nouredine Mimoun in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Francisco Garcia took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nouredine Mimoun. Nouredine Mimoun dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. A collision led to Desportiva Paulo Afonso getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Sidney Campidelis hit a great ball. Jano Simões made in the 68th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Anderson Tavares. Fawzi Larfaoui could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Olavo Vasconcelos made a huge save. Sidney Campidelis hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. After 72 played minutes Desportiva Paulo Afonso got a freekick which was hit by José Vítor de Sena. With a little luck, Desportiva Paulo Afonso's Olavo Vasconcelos got control of the ball when Fawzi Larfaoui tried to sneak it across the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Desportiva Paulo Afonso's Francisco Garcia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nouredine Mimoun narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Adab FC's Hamid Macias suffered a sprained foot after 76 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 81st minute Francisco Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nouredine Mimoun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th minute, Francisco Garcia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nouredine Mimoun was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. 89 minutes into the match, Adab FC's goal looked a bit too open when Renatinho Braga came free, but Nouredine Mimoun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Salim Guendouz kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Adab FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
