With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leon Mondrowski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eugeniusz Grabski scored 1-0 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eric Sjögren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Olof Mellberg came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Rinkeby FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olof Mellberg couldn't finish the play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andrés Alavi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Rinkeby FC's Andrés Alavi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Leon Mondrowski. That made the score 1-1 after 54 minutes of play. Charles Henriksson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Leon Mondrowski made a huge save.
