After having played for 11 minutes, Hílton de Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vila Zumbi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hílton de Brito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Silas de Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 16 minutes into the match, Vila Zumbi's goal looked a bit too open when Phil Dove came free, but Hermínio Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Silas de Lima recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marek Hewitt. Silas de Lima showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 22nd minute, Hílton de Brito got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romeo Cartwright in the 25th minute of play forced Vila Zumbi's goalkeeper Hermínio Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hermínio Silva stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Romeo Cartwright's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. The supporters of Vila Zumbi booed when Astreix&ObelixSoccer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Kaye didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marek Hewitt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silas de Lima in the 32nd minute of play. Silas de Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Marek Hewitt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marek Hewitt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silas de Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Silas de Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Romeo Cartwright fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Astreix&ObelixSoccer's protests and gave Romeo Cartwright a yellow card for diving instead. In the 54th match minute, Astreix&ObelixSoccer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romeo Cartwright to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Astreix&ObelixSoccer defense, Silas de Lima kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marek Hewitt. The Astreix&ObelixSoccer fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marek Hewitt should have stopped the shot. Astreix&ObelixSoccer's Marek Hewitt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulysses Vaz in the 59th minute of play. Ulysses Vaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marek Hewitt having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silas de Lima in the 65th minute of play forced Astreix&ObelixSoccer's goalkeeper Marek Hewitt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Rodd Sharpe fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Astreix&ObelixSoccer's protests and gave Rodd Sharpe a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Astreix&ObelixSoccer fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 72nd minute. Penalty! The referee gave Vila Zumbi a penalty, 74 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Sandro Seco, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Astreix&ObelixSoccer's Marek Hewitt. 3-0. Alexandre Martins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 87th minute, Alexandre Martins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee ended the match the Vila Zumbi players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
