Rene Tristan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sakis Kefalas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Cristian Aznaro hit a great ball. 13 minutes into the game, Green Hell F.C.'s Vassilis Ballas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rene Tristan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 19th minute of the match Zacharias Andreadakis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rene Tristan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rene Tristan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sakis Kefalas in the 21st minute of play. When Stefanos Batiris fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Green Hell F.C.'s protests and gave Stefanos Batiris a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE booed when Green Hell F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stefanos Batiris didn't get a good kick on the ball. 24 minutes into the game, Victoriano Acosta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Green Hell F.C. the free kick. After 24 played minutes C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE got a freekick which was hit by Victoriano Acosta. Victoriano Acosta kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Sakis Kefalas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rene Tristan was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Cipriano Paulin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Spyros Skafidas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd minute Sakis Kefalas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Tristan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Victoriano Acosta hit a great ball. If Vassilis Ballas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rene Tristan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefanos Batiris, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Cristian Aznaro hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sakis Kefalas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tomas Laurgain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Gerazan charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos Gerazan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Gaston Matthew managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaston Matthew was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Spyros Skafidas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vassilis Ballas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Rene Tristan made a huge save. 66 minutes into the game, C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE's Victoriano Acosta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Spyros Skafidas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The audience was convinced that Sakis Kefalas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rene Tristan was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Rene Tristan made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Koulis Vourlis sent off a good shot on target. When Gaston Matthew came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaston Matthew couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE's Rene Tristan got control of the ball when Sakis Kefalas tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Gaston Matthew had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Laurgain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
