The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes Altamora FC got a freekick which was hit by Claudemiro Coelho. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudemiro Coelho in the 6th minute of play forced Hamburg Fighters's goalkeeper Nolan Bästlein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Frank Seybold took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Vítor Pádua to make any attempt to save it. In the 12th minute, Safet Krueger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 14 minutes into the match, Hamburg Fighters's goal looked a bit too open when Claudemiro Coelho came free, but Nolan Bästlein reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Toni Thieltges hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Claudemiro Coelho charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Claudemiro Coelho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 16th match minute, Altamora FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudemiro Coelho to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute Safet Krueger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Pádua saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. António Raminhos hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. 23 minutes into the match, Altamora FC's Norberto Vilanova sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nolan Bästlein narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nolan Bästlein stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claudemiro Coelho's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. In the 31st match minute, Altamora FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurício Quinaz to maneuver through the defense. Nolan Bästlein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudemiro Coelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Hamburg Fighters's zone, Claudemiro Coelho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nolan Bästlein came out of the goal and Claudemiro Coelho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Altamora FC's Vítor Pádua played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Safet Krueger in the 35th minute of play. In the 40th minute Norberto Vilanova shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nolan Bästlein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Norberto Vilanova ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nolan Bästlein was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 47th minute, Hamburg Fighters's Safet Krueger dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Vítor Pádua took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Etienne Martensen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Norberto Vilanova sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nolan Bästlein made an important save on a dangerous shot by Norberto Vilanova in the 69th minute. António Colaço could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Nolan Bästlein made a huge save. Etienne Martensen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vítor Pádua having to interfere. Altamora FC's Vítor Pádua played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Safet Krueger in the 78th minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Norberto Vilanova got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Altamora FC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Salvador Curado hit a great ball. When Maurício Quinaz came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Altamora FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurício Quinaz couldn't finish the play. 91 minutes into the game, Altamora FC's Claudemiro Coelho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nolan Bästlein made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2.
