When Joaquim Ramos fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Landulfos FC's protests and gave Joaquim Ramos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 5th minute, Joaquim Ramos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Silvério Mota scored 0-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vladimir do Valle, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaltino de Andrade in the 11th minute of play forced Landulfos FC's goalkeeper Vladimir do Valle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Landulfos FC's Arlindo Brasil slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gilmar Paraíba. That made the score 1-1 after 12 minutes of play. In the 16th minute, Fernandão Branco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Landulfos FC's Célio Gonçalves got a free kick in the 17th minute. Gilmar Paraíba didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 22nd minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. 25 minutes into the game, Gualter Sergipano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Landulfos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Inter de São Paulo the free kick. In the 25th match minute, Landulfos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gualter Sergipano to maneuver through the defense. Isaltino de Andrade took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vladimir do Valle. Vladimir do Valle dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Arlindo Brasil could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Gilmar Paraíba made a huge save. Fernandão Branco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gilmar Paraíba came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Landulfos FC's Arlindo Brasil. But to his dismay, Arlindo Brasil quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. After some careless play in the Inter de São Paulo defense, Arlindo Brasil kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gilmar Paraíba. The Inter de São Paulo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gilmar Paraíba should have stopped the shot. Gualter Sergipano received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gilmar Paraíba came out and tried to block the shot, but Gualter Sergipano slotted it home off the left post making it 5-2 in the 46th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Silvério Mota to strike the kick off in the second half. Gilmar Paraíba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arlindo Brasil in the 56th minute of play. After 57 played minutes Inter de São Paulo got a freekick which was hit by André Passos. Arlindo Brasil scored 6-2 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gilmar Paraíba, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 68 minutes into the game, Arlindo Brasil cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-2. Gilmar Paraíba was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 73rd minute Landulfos FC were awarded a corner. Célio Gonçalves went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Célio Gonçalves got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gilmar Paraíba quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Gilmar Paraíba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gualter Sergipano's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. The supporters of Landulfos FC booed when Inter de São Paulo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adalberto Macedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Fernandão Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 82 minutes into the match, Inter de São Paulo's goal looked a bit too open when Arlindo Brasil came free, but Gilmar Paraíba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gilmar Paraíba didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arlindo Brasil went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 8-2 was the resulting score. 90 minutes into the match, Fernandão Branco notched a goal, 9-2, to the right of Inter de São Paulo's Gilmar Paraíba. Gilmar Paraíba was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vladimir do Valle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaltino de Andrade in the 93rd minute of play.
