In the 9th minute, Lomas de Zamora FC's Raul Torres ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonas de Queirós. Jonas de Queirós yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 13th minute, Leandro Coutinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th match minute, Lomas de Zamora FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgard Salvator to maneuver through the defense. 27 minutes into the match, Flying Dutch's goal looked a bit too open when Tiburcio Nicholas came free, but Jonas de Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Lomas de Zamora FC's Raul Torres got a free kick in the 28th minute. Lomas de Zamora FC's Marcos Galo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evandro Souza in the 30th minute of play. Raul Torres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abelardo Paraibano was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Flying Dutch's Abelardo Paraibano dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Thanks to some nice moves Egídio Goiano could shoot a difficult shot in the 57th minute, which Marcos Galo however easily saved by the left post. Lomas de Zamora FC's Marcos Galo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Lomas de Zamora FC from getting a goal against them. Jonas de Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raul Torres in the 60th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Abelardo Paraibano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marcos Galo. That made the score 1-3 in the 62 minute of play. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Evandro Souza took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Marcos Galo to make any attempt to save it. Marcos Galo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evandro Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 76 minutes, Evandro Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Flying Dutch's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evandro Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abelardo Paraibano in the 81st minute of play forced Lomas de Zamora FC's goalkeeper Marcos Galo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Raul Torres had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonas de Queirós. Flying Dutch's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Raul Torres was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. 2-5 became the score in the 92nd minute when Abelardo Paraibano elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Flying Dutch's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
