The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Mantvydas Žalnerauskas fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Pegasas Siauliai's protests and gave Mantvydas Žalnerauskas a yellow card for diving instead. Mantvydas Žalnerauskas kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. After 3 played minutes FC Pegasas Siauliai got a freekick which was hit by Gintautas Jameikis. Gustaw Rosen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gintautas Jameikis in the 5th minute of play. Svajūnas Rupšys kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Juras Biknius hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 11th minute, Mieszko Barys hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valentas Daunoras struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Gustaw Rosen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Pegasas Siauliai. Gustaw Rosen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gintautas Jameikis in the 17th minute of play. 20 minutes into the game, Mantvydas Žalnerauskas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gustaw Rosen. Mantvydas Žalnerauskas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The audience was convinced that Mantvydas Žalnerauskas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gustaw Rosen was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Gustaw Rosen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valentas Daunoras in the 25th minute. Ziemowit Czubski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Audrius Dūdėnas having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Juras Biknius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valentas Daunoras came free with the goalkeeper in the 39th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gustaw Rosen could save by the left post. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wasyl Dytrych to strike the kick off in the second half. Gustaw Rosen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mantvydas Žalnerauskas in the 53rd minute of the match. Herbert Huk struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Audrius Dūdėnas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MKS Legion Częstochowa. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adolfas Karanauskas during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 60 played minutes FC Pegasas Siauliai got a freekick which was hit by Adolfas Karanauskas. 66 minutes into the match, MKS Legion Częstochowa's goal looked a bit too open when Valentas Daunoras came free, but Gustaw Rosen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ludomir Pietras got free with Audrius Dūdėnas in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. MKS Legion Częstochowa's Gustaw Rosen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marijus Guzas in the 75th minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Juras Biknius had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. FC Pegasas Siauliai's Deividas Pavilionis was substituted for Juras Biknius. In the 85th match minute, MKS Legion Częstochowa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ziemowit Czubski to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of MKS Legion Częstochowa booed when FC Pegasas Siauliai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darijus Baltrūnas didn't get a good kick on the ball. There was no doubt that FC Pegasas Siauliai were the better team. FC Pegasas Siauliai's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
