An unexpectedly hard shot by Johannes Örtendahl in the 3rd minute of play forced Bancruz F.C's goalkeeper Genaro Handi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Degerfors IF's Agne Widberg broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Genaro Handi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claes Stenman in the 10th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anselmo Liberto got free with Pontus Lindström in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 17th match minute, Degerfors IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isak Termander to maneuver through the defense. Genaro Handi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claes Stenman, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After a rather tough play, Degerfors IF's Kenny Forsberg got a free kick in the 27th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Degerfors IF's goalkeeper Pontus Lindström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anselmo Liberto. The supporters of Bancruz F.C booed when Degerfors IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tommy Wik didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th match minute, Degerfors IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claes Stenman to maneuver through the defense. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kenny Forsberg to strike the kick off in the second half. Degerfors IF's Pontus Lindström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo Liberto in the 53rd minute of play. After having played for 54 minutes, Armando Ellande managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bancruz F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armando Ellande was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Degerfors IF's Pontus Lindström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo Liberto in the 57th minute of play. With 59 minutes on the clock, Juan Gehl commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 60th match minute, Bancruz F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Gehl to maneuver through the defense. Genaro Handi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kenny Forsberg in the 61st minute. The supporters of Degerfors IF booed when Bancruz F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Liberto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Kenny Forsberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Degerfors IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Kenny Forsberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Genaro Handi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kenny Forsberg got free with Genaro Handi in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 85 played minutes Degerfors IF got a freekick which was hit by Isak Termander. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Degerfors IF players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
