With a little luck, Picanya FC's Petri Bravo got control of the ball when Kenny Forsberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Claes Stenman charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Claes Stenman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Degerfors IF getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Claes Stenman hit a great ball. Dan Grönberg hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. A hard and well directed shot from Fran Serra led 7 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Degerfors IF's Pontus Lindström became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 0-1. A collision led to Picanya FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Everardo Izquierdo hit a great ball. Zabal Incera's late challenge caught a Degerfors IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zabal Incera helped the player get up and apologised. In the 21st match minute, Picanya FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zabal Incera to maneuver through the defense. Picanya FC's Petri Bravo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stellan Runberg in the 26th minute of play. Pontus Lindström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tito Cifuentes in the 29th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mitxel Pedraza in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pontus Lindström saved Degerfors IF from getting behind. Pontus Lindström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tito Cifuentes in the 38th minute of the match. 43 minutes into the match, Degerfors IF's goal looked a bit too open when Mitxel Pedraza came free, but Pontus Lindström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Claes Stenman hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stellan Runberg during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mitxel Pedraza was the one to do the kick off. Lobo Idiaquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Picanya FC's Tito Cifuentes got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 66th minute, Everardo Izquierdo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 70 minutes into the match, Degerfors IF's goalkeeper Pontus Lindström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tito Cifuentes. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Johannes Örtendahl during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 95th minute Zabal Incera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pontus Lindström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dan Grönberg kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Picanya FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
