Basarab Ioniță sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Matei Mischie fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Uptown Otters's protests and gave Matei Mischie a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Club Sportiv Medgidia booed when Uptown Otters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matei Mischie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Uptown Otters's Iordache Sfârlea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisc Cămărășan in the 42nd minute of play. In the 43rd minute Basarab Ioniță shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicu Arghirescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th minute, Club Sportiv Medgidia's Vasile Isopescu seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Vasile Isopescu the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Club Sportiv Medgidia protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Vasile Isopescu had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Augustin Horea was the one to do the kick off. Uptown Otters's Petruț Rogozea got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 63 minutes into the match, Uptown Otters's goal looked a bit too open when Horea Aplugăriței came free, but Iordache Sfârlea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicu Arghirescu came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Uptown Otters's Petruț Rogozea. But to his dismay, Petruț Rogozea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Nicu Arghirescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basarab Ioniță, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aristide Crivac in the 76th minute of play forced Club Sportiv Medgidia's goalkeeper Nicu Arghirescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Augustin Horea came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Club Sportiv Medgidia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augustin Horea couldn't finish the play. If Petre Luican had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sergiu Ştef took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nicu Arghirescu. Nicu Arghirescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. The supporters of Club Sportiv Medgidia booed when Uptown Otters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sergiu Ştef didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aristide Crivac scored 4-0 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nicu Arghirescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nicu Arghirescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petruț Rogozea in the 96th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Uptown Otters had played much better football throughout.
