An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Soto in the 17th minute of play forced Ulan Bator Football Club's goalkeeper Arnold Haesevoets to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aureo Mazuelas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eric Van Hinnendaels, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Rodolfo Echeverz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aureo Mazuelas made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Dolf De Messemaecker sent off a good shot on target. Dolf De Messemaecker received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Aureo Mazuelas came out and tried to block the shot, but Dolf De Messemaecker slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 28th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Eric Van Hinnendaels kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aureo Mazuelas. That made the score 2-0 in the 34 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eric Van Hinnendaels got free with Aureo Mazuelas in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 41st minute, Pablo Soto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Centinela Español FC defense, Dolf De Messemaecker kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aureo Mazuelas. The Centinela Español FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aureo Mazuelas should have stopped the shot. 48 minutes into the match, Centinela Español FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ronald Maeijnarts came free, but Aureo Mazuelas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Centinela Español FC's Quique Wilshaw was substituted for Maurilio Granic. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eder Laso de la Vega to make the kick off. Centinela Español FC's Aureo Mazuelas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dylan Van hoeijveld in the 66th minute of play. Aureo Mazuelas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dolf De Messemaecker in the 68th minute of the match. With a little luck, Ulan Bator Football Club's Arnold Haesevoets got control of the ball when Felipe Soto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aureo Mazuelas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ronald Maeijnarts went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. 95 minutes into the match, Eric Van Hinnendaels had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aureo Mazuelas. Centinela Español FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eric Van Hinnendaels was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Centinela Español FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
