Sporting Westmeerbeek's Norbert Verhulst proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Sporting Westmeerbeek from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Sporting Westmeerbeek's Norbert Verhulst got control of the ball when Arnoldo Short tried to sneak it across the goal line. American Top Team's Trevor Michaud played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nestor Naegels in the 15th minute of play. Trevor Michaud took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nestor Naegels, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rens Quinet in the 20th minute of play forced American Top Team's goalkeeper Trevor Michaud to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Benjamin Thielemans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, American Top Team's DeAndre Goff got a free kick in the 27th minute. Sporting Westmeerbeek's Nestor Naegels got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind American Top Team's goalkeeper Trevor Michaud, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nestor Naegels struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Trevor Michaud didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting Westmeerbeek. Sporting Westmeerbeek's Norbert Verhulst played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clay Quintana in the 47th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rens Quinet made a kick off. Gwen De Meulder charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gwen De Meulder the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Sporting Westmeerbeek getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Gwen De Meulder hit a great ball. Clay Quintana scored 1-0 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Norbert Verhulst, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Quincy Nolan's late challenge caught a Sporting Westmeerbeek's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Quincy Nolan helped the player get up and apologised. Norbert Verhulst showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clay Quintana, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Norbert Verhulst showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnoldo Short in the 66th minute of the match. Winford Craig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69thth minute of the game Arnoldo Short who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sporting Westmeerbeek's Norbert Verhulst was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Trevor Michaud made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Yoeri Van Der Straeten sent off a good shot on target. Izak Lambrecht received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Trevor Michaud tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Trevor Michaud stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nestor Naegels's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Norbert Verhulst took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Winford Craig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Clay Quintana in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Norbert Verhulst saved Sporting Westmeerbeek from getting behind. If Clay Quintana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Norbert Verhulst showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from DeAndre Goff in the 91st minute of the match. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
